August 20th, 2009 marks the second anniversary of Houston's greatest Sports Radio Station, - 1560 The Game!  

They celebrated their first anniversary by hosting an awards show for their listeners and advertisers called The Mug Awards.  It's basically the Oscars meets the Kid's Choice wards, only with beer. 

The event celebrates the previous year's highs and lows with awards like "Moment of the Year", "Show of the Year", and "Interview of the Year" and the listening audience can be nominated and win one of three awards including "Caller of the Year", "Online Contributor of the Year", and the coveted TUG Award for "The Ultimate Gamer."

The event begins with a live broadcast of the Sean and John Show from the Studio at Warehouse Live from 3:00pm until 7:00pm, and then the show will begin promptly at 7:30pm.  With musical numbers and video presentations, guests will be thoroughly entertained as they watch the winners grasp the ultimate award...a glass beer mug.
